Inter are getting serious about their plans of signing more youngsters than in recent years thanks to their new owners Oaktree. They are negotiating with Newell’s Old Boys for a pair: Tomas Perez and Mateo Silvetti. The president of the Argentinian club is spending time in Milan to finalize the deal, Gianluca Di Marzio informs.
The parties are close but haven’t shaken hands yet. The Nerazzurri would like to spend €12M combined, tying most of the figure to bonuses related to the growth of the two youngsters. The split between the fixed fee and the add-ons is the main topic of conversation.
Inter could eventually decide to sign just one of the two talents if the negotiation becomes too challenging or pricey. La Beneamata is making preparations to establish their second team in Serie C, following in Juventus, Atalanta, and Milan’s footsteps.
Perez has 29 appearances in the pros under his belt, while Silvetti, who plays on the wing, recorded 5 goals and assisted once in 37 matches last year. He has two caps with Argentina U-20, while his teammate has been called up but didn’t debut.
Inter are also going after Juma Bah, who stars for Valladolid. They are rivaling Manchester City, which are currently in the lead. The Nerazzurri would do the deal with the help of Monza, which have one spot open for an extra-EU signing. He’d move to the Brianzoli at first. The 18-year-old has featured 12 times in La Liga and Copa del Rey this campaign. He’s technically on loan from Sierra Leonean side AIK Freetong.
