Inter Bogota confirm signing of Sunderland winger Ian Poveda | OneFootball

Inter Bogota have completed the signing of Sunderland winger Ian Poveda, ending his short spell on Wearside.

The club said in a statement that the Colombian-English winger arrives to strengthen their attack and highlighted his development at Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona and Manchester City.

The 26-year-old joined in 2024 but struggled to make an impact, leaving with six first-team appearances, all as a substitute.

His last senior outing came late in a 2-1 Championship defeat at Leeds United in February of last year, after which he featured mainly for Graeme Murty’s U21s.

Capped twice by Colombia, this move is the first club chapter of his career outside England. His senior spells include Manchester City, Leeds United, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday, before Sunderland.
