Inter want to see more from Luis Henrique and, if he doesn’t improve, he might be shipped off in January to make room for an addition, and, their management is keen on Genoa’s Brooke Norton-Cuffy, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
The 21-year-old is on the radar of pretty much all the top Serie A sides that have a hole at the position. Napoli couldn’t sign a Giovanni Di Lorenzo deputy last summer. They tendered a €10M proposal, but it was quickly rebuffed.
Luis Henrique will get further chances, but a winter departure on loan can’t be ruled out, and Inter would be quick to join the race for Norton-Cuffy. The two sides have done business together more than a few times in the past, most recently to broker the loan of Valentin Carboni.
According to Napoli Magazine, Genoa intend to pocket at least €20M from the sale of their starlet. They owe 35 percent of the fee to Arsenal. He has also been routinely linked to Juventus and has several suitors in England.
Even though the former has indeed been disappointing, although in limited opportunities, the Nerazzurri aren’t the kind of team to discard newcomers so soon, especially after fairly big investments. He’ll move in January only if he really shows no signs of life. The Genoa talent is more similar to Dumfries trait-wise, but the list of teams that covet him is long. A few of them would be give him a consistent role from the get-go. Plus, if the Grifone decide that the time is already ripe to cash in, they’ll probably get the richest offers from England.
