After weeks of negotiations and speculation, Inter Miami officially announced the signing of Mexican international forward German Berterame as a Designated Player.
The 27-year-old has signed on with the club through til the end of the 2028-29 Major League Soccer season, with an option to extend in 2029-30.
During his time with Monterrey, Berterame scored over 65 goals in 153 appearances.
He now joins a loaded Miami attack featuring Lionel Messi, Mateo Silvetti, Tadeo Allende, and Luis Suarez.
Last season, the four led the Herons to their first MLS Cup in team history.
With Allende officially re-signed and Messi looking fitter than ever, with Berterame joining the fold, the men in pink now arguably have one of the most dangerous attacks in the league.
Berterame is a technically gifted striker who will be a consistent goal-scoring threat for Miami.
Known for his impeccable positioning, movement, and link-up ability, the ex-Monterrey striker will thrive playing alongside Messi.
Inter Miami were at their best when Messi had pace and mobile wingers in front of him, willing to make runs in behind the opposition defense.
With Berterame’s inclusion, the World Cup winner now has another lethal threat in front of goal.
