During his comprehensive interview with Italian journalist Gian Luca Rossi for his YouTube channel, as reported by FCInterNews, Bergomi addressed several hot topics.

Inzaghi’s squad rotations have drawn significant attention this season.

While many questioned his methods, Bergomi hails the results, insisting Simone Inzaghi thrives despite taking risks.

“The coach is good. I always repeat the same things. With the high average age, you are forced to make deep rotations,” he said.

“Last season, he chose the league, he made rotations especially in the Champions League.

“This year, he can’t choose because the tournament is different and every round you have a new opponent. You have to prepare eight different games.

“I’m sorry because Inzaghi is always criticized for changes and rotations, but for me, he’s doing well by taking risks.

“Milan changes less among the big names, Juve a lot. We’ll see who will be right in the end.”

“What Inter did last year is something extraordinary, conceding nine goals in a group is almost impossible. We have to think from that point of view before starting any discussion.

“After winning, you may make a run-up less, you are slightly less careful.”

Bergomi assessed Inter’s recent league win at Udinese.

Inzaghi’s men were 3-1 up heading into the final ten minutes. However, high press gave the Friulians a late chance to eke out a point.

Inter got away with all three, but the risk taken by Inzaghi didn’t go well with the Italian media.

“Games that seem closed then can reopen. Inter are the team that have conceded the most goals in the last half an hour,” Bergomi pointed out.

“In Udine, they put very high pressure and take the 2-3.”
