Inter Milan are not worried about losing wingback Denzel Dumfries to Barcelona.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report, however, that an offer from the Premier League could change the situation.
Inter Milan are considering the possibility that they could lose Denzel Dumfries this summer.
The Nerazzurri will not lose the Dutchman for free. He signed a contract extension last year.
However, that new deal includes a release clause of €25 million.
Moreover, Inter are aware that Dumfries is not altogether happy with the harsh words from Inter captain Lautaro Martinez earlier this week.
Then, there is the fact that Dumfries has changed his agent to Jorge Mendes. That could very well be a signal of intent to leave the club this summer.

Barcelona are reportedly thinking about triggering Dumfries’s release clause.
If the Blaugranas were to offer the €25 million fee, then there would be little Inter could do to stop the transfer from happening, should Dumfries want to go.
However, reports Tuttosport, Inter are not expecting that to happen.
The key reason would be Barcelona’s financial situation. The Spanish champions’ difficulties with Financial Fair Play are hardly a secret, and therefore a move for a player like Dumfries would be very tough.
On the other hand, clubs in the Premier League are absolutely flush with cash.
Therefore, if a team from the English top flight were to set their sights on Denzel Dumfries, it could offer him a clear exit route.
The 29-year-old former PSV wingback has never hid his desire to play in the Premier League one day.
