Inter Milan are now at the final stretch of their season.

And things could hardly be more intense for the Nerazzurri.

In Serie A, Inter are hoping that Napoli will drop points in one of their two remaining matches. However, even if that were to happen, it would be no guarantee that Inter will take advantage.

Therefore, Inter must keep their focus and be at their best for their two remaining league matches. They have two very difficult matches, against Lazio this evening, and then against Como.

Meanwhile, at the end of the month, Inter face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.

That will be a match that absolutely defines Inter Milan’s season.

Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta admitted that “it’s been several years since we’ve had a final run-in like this.”

“This is a point in favour of the unpredictability of football,” the Nerazzurri President continued.

“We have a hurdle we have to overcome. Then, we have to wait and see what happens in Parma.”

Inter’s title rivals Napoli face Parma in Serie A this evening, at the same time as the Nerazzurri’s match against Lazio.

“We’re used to living with this kind of tension,” Marotta added. “And this particular atmosphere.”

“But it’s all positive energy. It’s a sign of growth from this group.”

Meanwhile, Beppe Marotta insisted that an end to the season like this “doesn’t have to be stressful.”

“I think this group has grown a lot, and knows how to create the right mindset for a match like this,” he added of the Champions League.

“At the start of this cycle, the team went through a lot of stress. But now, the players have matured to a point where they know how to manage the pressure from a match like this.”
