Beppe Marotta is confident Inter Milan will bounce back from the sudden decision of Simone Inzaghi to leave San Siro.
During his recent interview via FCInterNews, Marotta discussed the 49-year-old’s unexpected departure.
Though Inzaghi’s exit didn’t come out of the blue, it has taken the entire football scene by surprise.
Indeed, only days after being trounced by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, Inzaghi called time on his Inter stint.
Despite enjoying the club’s complete trust, the former Lazio coach refused a new deal in Lombardy.
Therefore, he will soon join Saudi Pro League powerhouse Al-Hilal on a two-year contract worth approximately €50 million.
Meanwhile, Cesc Fabregas rejected Inter’s approach earlier today out of loyalty for Como.
His refusal only added insult to injury, leaving Inter strapped for time heading into the FIFA Club World Cup.
However, Beppe Marotta believes the Nerazzurri will navigate these troubled times and emerge stronger.

“We are a strong Inter,” Marotta stated. “We’ll know how to overcome this unexpected and difficult moment, which does not frighten us.
“Indeed, we’re working for the good of Inter.
“We will continue to do so with the passion, determination, and sense of belonging that we’ve always shown over the years.”
Then, he remembered former Inter Milan president Ernesto Pellegrini, who passed away hours before the Champions League final.
“A great entrepreneur and a great man,” Marotta claimed. “He managed Inter like a family in a more romantic era of football compared to today, with great determination.
“But above all, we must remember the man – someone who always looked out for others and for the less fortunate, offering both moral and material support.
“His humility and generosity, his ability to listen – these are the qualities of a leader and a business figure, which he embodied.
“These are values we must always carry with us. He was a respected member of civil society in Milan.
“I’ve always called him a friend because when I was sporting director at Varese, he contacted me as I was being considered for a role at Inter. I was only 26 at the time.
“There was a strong bond of friendship that always connected us.”
