Inter Milan are ready to spend big this summer transfer window with the significant windfall of this season’s Champions League earnings.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter’s deep run in the Champions League this season has been a boon to the team on a number of levels.
And that has included on a financial level.
The Nerazzurri will reportedly bring in €13 million in gate receipts from tomorrow’s semifinal second leg against Barcelona at the San Siro.
That is a record for an Italian team in Europe.
Inter have raked in plenty of cash in the form of gate receipts from their Champions League matches.
And even more from UEFA prize money from the competition, which is more lucrative than ever under the new format.

Moreover, according to the Gazzetta, Inter have big plans with a significant chunk of their Champions League money.
The newspaper anticipate that this will be a summer of ambitious spending from the Nerazzurri.
That is not something the club is used to based on recent seasons.
Inter have had to endure half a decade in which they’ve had to spend within severe financial restrictions.
But that has paid off. As has the team’s ever-increasing European earnings.
The Gazzetta note that Inter have already guaranteed themselves €115.17 in prize money from the Champions League.
That could rise to €133.67 if the Nerazzurri reach the final of the competition.
And that gives Inter a lot of room to think about investing in new signings.
There is a strong sense that Inter will need to breathe new life into their aging squad if they are to remain competitive over the seasons to come.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri will look to make younger signings this summer.
The impending arrival of Petar Sucic, already signed from Dinamo Zagreb, can be a sign of things to come.
As is the fact that Inter are in talks to sign Luis Henrique from Marseille.
The Gazzetta anticipate that this will be Inter’s most ambitious summer transfer window since 2019, when they signed the likes of Nicolo Barella and Romelu Lukaku among others.
