Inter Milan have reignited their interest in Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-Jae as they begin planning for the departure of Francesco Acerbi and Stefan De Vrij at the end of the season.
However, prising the South Korea international away from the Bavarians will require a significant financial commitment according to L’Interista.
Both Acerbi and De Vrij are out of contract in June and will not be renewed, leaving Inter with a meaningful void to fill in their backline.
The two veterans were central figures in the success of the Inzaghi era.
Indeed, reliable, experienced and deeply embedded in the club’s defensive culture.
Finding adequate replacements is one of the most pressing tasks facing sporting director Piero Ausilio this summer.

According to L’Interista, Kim fits the profile Inter are targeting, a defender defined by experience, physicality and a winning mentality.
And formal soundings have reportedly been renewed in recent weeks.
His performances for Bayern remain consistent, having started three of their last four matches and completed over 90 minutes in each.
Indeed, a clear sign of his importance to the club.
That importance is precisely what makes the deal difficult.
Bayern have no pressing need to sell and hold all the leverage in any negotiation.
Kim’s contract runs until 2028, further strengthening their hand.
Inter know that any realistic pursuit will require an offer substantial enough to convince the Bavarians to consider a summer sale.
