Inter Milan have rejected an offer from West Ham United for midfielder Kristjan Asllani.

This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri have no intention of selling the Albanian international until at least next summer.

According to FCIN, Premier League side West Ham have been looking to Serie A for potential transfer targets in midfield.

The outlet report that one of the players that the Hammers have sounded out is Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani.

The 22-year-old has been an Inter player since the summer of 2022. He joined from Empoli.

And while Asllani has had his share of opportunities to play, he has always been a backup to the likes of Marcelo Brozovic and then Hakan Calhanoglu in holding midfield for the Nerazzurri.

Therefore, there has long been some doubt about the future of Asllani at Inter.

In the meantime, there have been quite a few offers to have arrived for the Albanian. Either to sign him on loan or on a permanent basis.

However, to date, Inter and Asllani have always rejected these bids.

Inter Turn Down West Ham Offer For Kristjan Asllani

And according to FCIN, another offer for Asllani has arrived. And it has once again been rejected.

The outlet report that West Ham approached Inter about signing the 22-year-old.

The London-based club’s intention would be to sign Asllani this month. They are keen to reinforce their midfield during the January transfer window.

However, reports FCIN, Inter made clear that they are not listening to offers for Asllani in January.

The Nerazzurri do not want to make any more alterations to their squad after sending the likes of Tomas Palacios and Tajon Buchanan out on loan.

Therefore, Inter will only listen to offers for Kristjan Asllani next month.

Then, the situation could certainly change. Particularly if Asllani does not improve in form.

Moreover, Inter could look for a long-term replacement for Asllani next summer.

But in the meantime, Asllani remains an important part of the Nerazzurri’s squad. The Albanian has started five matches in January, with Hakan Calhanoglu out.

These included yesterday evening’s Champions League win over Monaco.
