Inter Milan Star To Be Unveiled As Torino Player Today – Unlikely To Feature Against Parent Club In Serie A Opener | OneFootball

Kristjan Asllani is set to be unveiled as a Torino player, but is unlikely to feature against his parent club Inter Milan on Monday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan have been working to offload midfielder Kristjan Asllani for much of this summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old does not have a place in the Nerazzurri’s plans for next season.

Asllani joined Inter from Empoli in the summer of 2022. However, he has never quite convinced in any of his three seasons at the club.

This summer, a number of clubs showed an interest in Asllani’s signature.

Real Betis had made an effort to bring the Albanian international to La Liga. However, he reportedly preferred staying in Serie A.

In the last few days, both Bologna and Torino came forward to try and sign Asllani.

Both clubs were reportedly in advanced talks with Inter.

However, the Rossoblu failed to convince Asllani on personal terms. By contrast, the 23-year-old decided to instead accept a contract offer from the Granata.

Therefore, Asllani reportedly underwent his medicals with Torino yesterday.

As such, the Corriere dello Sport report, the Piemontese club are ready to unveil Asllani today.

However, the newspaper anticipate, Asllani is not likely to be ready for Torino’s first match of the season.

That will be against the Albanian’s parent club Inter next Monday.
