Hakan Calhanoglu, Francesco Acerbi, and Kristjan Asllani are all back in training ahead of Sunday’s Serie A match against Venezia.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that all three will be fit and available for Sunday’s match.
Inter have been dealing with some injury issues over the last few weeks.
The most notable have been the absences of midfielder Calhanoglu and defender Acerbi.
Both of that duo started for the Nerazzurri in their Serie A match against Roma last month.
However, both Calhanoglu and Acerbi had to come off during the first half of that win against the Giallorossi. They were forced off with thigh injuries.
Neither Calhanoglu nor Acerbi have taken any risks to rush back to action.
That has meant that both of the pair have missed three matches in addition to the second half of the clash with Roma.
Inter have had to do without Calhanoglu and Acerbi against Young Boys in the Champions League as well as in league outings against Juventus and Empoli.
Inter also have not just been missing Calhanoglu and Acerbi. There has also been a persistent fitness problem for midfielder Asllani.
Asllani is the most natural backup for Calhanoglu in the Inter squad.
However, the Albanian has not played in any of Inter’s last few matches. This is because of a knock he took in training before the match against Roma.
Therefore, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has not risked Asllani even with Calhanoglu out.
The problem for Asllani has concerned his knee.
But according to FCIN, all of Calhanoglu, Acerbi, and Asllani were all part of today’s training session.
There should be little doubt that all three will be available for selection for Inter’s next match.
