Inter Milan new signing Andy Diouf could reportedly return to the field in Saturday’s Serie A match against newcomers Cremonese.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, this could be Diouf’s chance to shine.
Despite joining the club for a €25 million fee in the summer, Andy Diouf has been a marginal figure at San Siro.
Indeed, manager Cristian Chivu has so far shown little trust in the French midfielder.
For context, he has been on the fringes since making a late cameo appearance against Torino in Serie A round one.

Chivu handed Diouf only 11 minutes of play against the Granata.
However, he has since nailed the former Lens star to the bench, keeping him low in the pecking order.
As Inter’s least used player, alongside Tomas Palacios, Diouf is eager to make an impression and stake a claim for more regular playing time.
Meanwhile, he thrives in a two-man midfield set-up.
That could be part of the reason Chivu has rarely used him this term.
