Inter Milan could send Valentín Carboni back to Argentina as Racing Club consider a loan move for the young playmaker, with the Nerazzurri ready to rethink his development path.
The 2005-born attacking midfielder has struggled for regular minutes during his loan spell at Genoa, prompting Inter to evaluate the possibility of cutting the deal short in January.
The priority is clear: Carboni needs continuity, and that has not arrived in Serie A so far this season.
According to TyC Sports, Racing Club have already taken concrete steps. The Argentine club, led by former Inter striker Diego Milito, have reportedly opened formal talks to bring Carboni back to his home country.

The player himself appears convinced.
TyC Sports report that Carboni has “already expressed a strong desire to join Gustavo Costas’ team in order to relaunch his professional career.”
A return to Argentina would allow him to play with greater freedom and responsibility, elements Inter still consider crucial to his growth.
Optimism surrounds the operation. Racing Club are pushing to close a six-month loan agreement and are confident of beating competition from two unnamed Serie A sides also tracking the youngster.
For Inter, the move would represent a pragmatic solution, prioritising development over prestige.
If the deal goes through, Carboni would start 2026 with a fresh opportunity to rediscover rhythm and confidence, while Inter continue to monitor his progress closely from afar.
