According to Tuttosport, Inter are ready to get ahead of the pack and ask Liverpool to sign Federico Chiesa on loan in January.
There had already been suggestions elsewhere over the last few days that the Italy international would seek a loan move to regain his fitness, having barely featured since his transfer to Anfield Road.
Now the Turin-based newspaper insists that Inter President Beppe Marotta is being pro-active in requesting Chiesa on a six-month loan in the January transfer window.
The versatile wide attacker has the same problem as throughout his career in recent years, namely that whenever he seems to be getting closer to full fitness, a muscular issue will emerge to slow down the process all over again.
This is why Juventus became frustrated and preferred to lose him for just €12m plus bonuses rather than offer a new contract.
Roma and Milan are also interested in picking Chiesa up in January on loan, though in all these cases they would need Liverpool to share some of the load of his salary, which is €7.5m per season.
