Inter are ready to secure their first signing for the summer, Luka Sucic, as the negotiation with Dinamo Zagreb is in its homestretch. They want to seal the deal in January already, leaving him on loan until June. The midfielder will likely be sidelined until March due to a foot injury anyway, Calciomercato reports.
The Nerazzurri have plotted a mid-size investment in the Croat starlet, around €15M, which coincides with the strategy of their new ownership. The youngster is ambidextrous and versatile. It remains to be determined whether he’ll become a ‘regista’ or a box-to-box in the long run. They have a few balls in the air in the midfield given the age of some of their contributors and the possible exit of Davide Frattesi.
Inter probably won’t stop at Sucic at the position, and they continue to be very keen on Samuele Ricci. Milan lead the race at the moment, but their pursuit hasn’t kicked into high gear yet.
On the other hand, the Nerazzurri would target the Granata mainstay only if they sold Hakan Calhanoglu. It’s not impossible since he hasn’t been superb this campaign and has dealt with a few injuries. The team could take one of the final chances to get something from his sale.
The Torino midfielder recently extended his contract, but Gleison Bremer and Alessandro Buongiorno had done the same before leaving to help their side in the negotiation. There’s no release clause in the deal, but Ricci will be allowed to join a top team like Inter, Milan, or Manchester City for offers north of €20/25M.
