Serie A giants Juventus are slowly progressing in their move for Newcastle defender Lloyd Kelly.
Fabrizio Romano had reported earlier today that the Magpiees had rejected an initial loan offer from Juve for the centre-back. La Gazzetta dello Sport have now reported that Newcastle want a permanent sale for a fee of €30 million.
That demand is fairly in line with how much Juve want to spend on the Englishman but they want a different sort of a deal. Intermediaries are, as a result, at work to make sure that both the parties come closer and strike an agreement. There is a mutual wish to close a deal too.
The Fikayo Tomori option has not quite gone away for Juve, who seemed a bit unconvinced by the defender. His poor performance on Saturday has also brought in some reflections at the Bianconeri, whereas Kelly is seen more as a leader and as a player who will involve less finances overall.
