Ipswich Town sign Arsenal midfielder Earl on loan | OneFootball

Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Maddy Earl on a season-long loan deal.

The Tractor Girls announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The 18-year-old is a product of the Arsenal academy system. Earl joined The Gunners at the age of eight. The youngster is yet to make her senior debut for Arsenal but she is highly-regarded by the club.

Last season saw Earl spend time with Barclays WSL2 clubs Bristol City and Sheffield United to gain senior playing experience.

On the international stage, Earl has represented England at various youth levels up to and including Under-19 level.

After joining Ipswich Town, Earl said “I am really pleased to be here.

“Ipswich is a really ambitious club and I want to contribute to the team as much as possible this season. I feel like this is a great place to develop my own game as well.

“I would describe myself as a forward-thinking creative midfielder who likes to get on the ball and make things happen.

“I now can’t wait for that first game of the season on Saturday.”

Earl could make her Ipswich Town debut against Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
