Nottingham Forest host Fenerbahce in the second leg of their Europa League knockout round play-off tie this evening, and Vitor Pereira’s side have one foot in the next round after an accomplished 3-0 win in the first leg in Istanbul.

Goals from Murillo, Igor Jesus and Morgan Gibbs-White gave Forest a result that all but seals a place in the last 16 of the competition, though the hosts will know that they need to perform at a similar level this evening in order to avoid an embarrassing turnaround.

While Pereira’s side might have the Premier League relegation fight at the back of their minds, the improvement in performances since the arrival of the Portuguese is proof that they have enough to avoid the drop if things go their way, and both players and fans will feel they can go far in Europe too if they keep up their turnaround.

When is Nottingham Forest vs Fenerbahce?

The second leg of the Europa League knockout play-off tie is due to kick off at 8pm GMT on Thursday 26 February at the City Ground in Nottingham.

Fenerbahce will be forced into plenty of changes from the first leg, with starting centre-back Jayden Oosterwolde suspended and his partner Milan Skriniar sidelined alongside Caglar Soyuncu, Anderson Talisca, Edson Alvarez and goalkeeper Ederson.
