Winger Isaac Heath has completed a permanent move away from Everton to join Cambridge United for an undisclosed fee after spending last season on loan at Accrington Stanley.
Heath, who joined the Toffees aged 13, developed through the Club’s Academy ranks before becoming a regular with Everton Under-18s during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.
Frequent appearances for the Under-21s followed a year later, and in 2024-25, Heath won the Club’s Under-21s Player of the Season award, notching 6 goal contributions in 16 Premier League 2 matches while operating in a range of positions including central-midfield, full-back and winger.
Last summer, he made up the numbers in the senior side with game time in three pre-season friendlies against Accrington Stanley, Blackburn Rovers and West Ham United but never got to play for the first team in the Premier League.
Heath said: “I'm delighted to get the move over the line. This feels like the right club for me at this stage of my career, and my conversations with the manager played a big part in my decision to come here.
“We spoke in depth about how I fit into the team's style of play and the plans for me going forward, which really excited me. I'm just looking forward to getting started now.”

He’ll do well at Cambridge but I think he will be playing in a team who will struggle to stay up in division 1 after gaining promotion last season but they are a well run club with good supporters.
Good luck Isaac you never got a real chance here and with your energy and talent you would have brought a new dimension to the team especially the energy you have, keep at it lad and you can rise further up the leagues.

Used to watch Cambridge when I lived there for 7 years. Hell of a hike up the Newmarket Road to the ground on the outer limits. Lovely club. Beautiful city. Dedicated fans. Issac will enjoy himself and in due course get sold to a bigger team.
Get yourself down to The Champion of the Thames on King Street Issac. Cambridge's best boozer.
Wishing him all the best, Issac played really well at Accrington last season, and they’re manager reckons he’s destined to reach the top, our manager doesn’t believe in youth.

I think Isaac had another year on his contract and there were a few clubs interested in him so we are due a fee for him, won’t be much though and it looks like Liverpool are stealing Josh Chigwada off us and we could possibly get nothing for him as he has deregistrated from the club and it looks like he has plenty of talent playing for the U18’s at 15– been with Everton for eight years.

One Cambridge United director is a former roommate of David Moyes when they were both playing for Cambridge. They are still best of mates.
