Manchester City will be aiming for a clean sweep of this season’s domestic trophies when they take on Chelsea in the FA Cup tomorrow. Pep Guardiola’s side has already claimed the Carabao Cup this season when they beat Arsenal 2-0 at Wembley at the end of March. Heading into Saturday’s FA Cup final, the City squad is in a good place in terms of fitness, and Pep Guardiola will have a selection of in-form players to choose from for the match.

Manchester City almost have a full-strength squad to utilize at Wembley.

In terms of fitness, the Manchester City squad is in a great position heading in Saturday’s FA Cup final. The only player who is in doubt for the clash with Chelsea is Rodri. Hopefully, Pep Guardiola provides clarity on Rodri’s condition when he faces the media later today.

Outside of Rodri, the City squad is in a great position. Key players such as Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku, Rayan Cherki, Nico O’Reilly, and even Matheus Nunes got the opportunity to rest or play limited minutes against Crystal Palace. That could be vital for Pep Guardiola’s side as they enter their fourth consecutive FA Cup final. It would seem, based on who was rested against Palace, that Pep Guardiola may go with his strongest available lineup against Chelsea.

A surprise starter as Manchester City beat Crystal Palace 3-0 was Josko Gvardiol. The Croatian defender got through 58 minutes and played well at the Etihad. It is unlikely that Gvardiol will start against Chelsea, but having him available for Saturday’s FA Cup final does Pep Guardiola another strong option to unleash as a substitute if required.

Manchester City’s squad is also in good form entering the clash with Chelsea.

Another luxury that Pep Guardiola has entering Saturday’s FA Cup final is that his squad is in form. Guardiola took the opportunity to rotate his squad for the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace. That paid dividends. Omar Marmoush scored his second goal in two games against Palace. Phil Foden was man-of-the-match at the Etihad and looks ready to start at Wembley. Antoine Semenyo got himself a goal after a recent dry spell. Bernardo Silva is in prime form, and of course, there are a host of rested first-team regulars ready to start against Chelsea. City are in a strong place in terms of the form of their squad ahead of Saturday’s showpiece match at Wembley.

Manchester City enters Saturday’s FA Cup with an almost full-strength squad and a host of players in form or rested. That is a great position for Pep Guardiola’s side as they bid to win their second trophy of the season against Chelsea at Wembley.
