Welcome to this daily round-up of some of Italy’s most intriguing transfer rumours. Here are Thursday’s best stories, courtesy of Italian transfer ace, Gianluca Di Marzio.
Nottingham Forest seem to remain the most interested in Inter’s Davide Frattesi. New contacts have been made with the player’s entourage, and the Nerrazzurri will only accept a move if the Tricky Trees meet their €35 million valuation.
Napoli are reportedly scouring the transfer market for forward options, and one of their latest targets is Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri. The 28-year-old forward’s club, Fenerbahce, are believed to be open to a loan move.
Serie D’s Chievo Verona are close to finalising the signing of Douglas Costa, who is ready to play in the Italian lower leagues before moving to Dubai. The 35-year-old has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with the club and would likely play until the end of the season.
AC Milan are pushing for the signing of Partizan Belgrade’s Andrej Kostic. The Rossoneri had initially offered €4.5 million for the 18-year-old forward, but Partizan deemed this to be too low, given his release clause is set at €20 million.
Inter reportedly have no intentions of opening talks with Galatasaray regarding a transfer for Hakan Calhanoglu. The Turkish giants’ management are currently in Milan to carry out transfer negotiations, but despite what has emerged in the Turkish media, no meeting has been scheduled with Inter to discuss Calhanoglu’s future.
Fiorentina are making an attempt to sign Kristian Thorstvedt, but Sassuolo are not open to a move. The Norwegian midfielder was pivotal in last season’s Serie B-winning promotion campaign and is still a valuable asset for Fabio Grosso’s side.
