Davide Frattesi will reportedly start in tonight’s Champions League curtain-raising fixture between Ajax and Inter Milan.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Italian midfielder is ready to make his first start under Cristian Chivu.
Despite still waiting for the first minutes in Serie A this season, the 25-year-old will be in the starting XI tonight.
Indeed, Chivu has decided to rest Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nicolo Barella.
Therefore, a new-look midfield will line up at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Davide Frattesi will not be the only new midfield element compared to the match against Juventus.
Furthermore, Petar Sucic will return to the starting line-up after Chivu left him on the bench in Turin.
Though the 21-year-old entered the fray as a late substitute, he had little time to show his quality.
Therefore, he will have a new opportunity to solidify his place in the starting XI against Ajax.
