Jorrel Hato was one of seven Chelsea players to score on Saturday, and speaking to the club’s official website after the game he was clearly delighted with the performance and the semi final berth it booked:

“It will be a dream come true to play at Wembley,” the Dutchman said.

“It’s always difficult [against lower league opposition in the FA Cup], but we played well from the back, the tempo was fast and we created many chances across the 90 minutes. We scored seven goals, so really it was the perfect game.”

Hato the FA Cup’s biggest fan

Hato bagged his first career Chelsea goal in a previous round, and added his next in this game:

“It’s my tournament, isn’t it?” the full back said.

“I was very happy to score my first goal [against Charlton] and now my first goal at Stamford Bridge, so I’m very happy. It was a great result and we played great football. It’s a good way to come back after the international break. We have a week to prepare for the game, which is a good thing.

“They had a big win against Liverpool [in the FA Cup] so they are in good shape. We had a good win, so are also in good shape, and we will prepare ourselves to play a good game and to win.”

In other news…

Ryan Kavuma-McQueen made his Chelsea debut on Saturday, and he’s already getting comparisons with a player who made his debut in 2018.

The debate about whether Enzo Fernandez deserved to be punished for his comments in the international break rages on.
