Jamal Musiala suffered a fractured fibula during Bayern Munich’s quarter-final clash against PSG in the Club World Cup, Sky Germany reports.

It was the 22-year-old’s first start in three months, having only just returned from injury.

The incident occurred in stoppage time of the first half following a collision with PSG goalkeeper, Donnarumma. The shot-stopper claimed the ball along the ground, but Musiala’s foot appeared to become stuck under Donnarumma.

Immediately after the incident, the players around Musiala looked distressed and were walking away, some with their shirts over their heads. None more so than Donnarumma who was kneeling looking down towards the pitch.

It’s likely that Musiala will now miss the majority, if not all, of the upcoming season.

Everyone at GGFN wishes Jamal a speedy recovery. Gute besserung, Jamal.
