Tottenham will host Southampton in their upcoming game of the English Premier League 2024/25 season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs are 14th in the points table with 34 points in 30 matches. They have won 10 games, drawn four, and lost 16 so far in the league. Tottenham are coming to this game on the back of a loss against Chelsea in the Premier League. In this article, let us take a look at the predicted lineup of Tottenham against Southampton.

4-3-3 Tottenham Predicted Lineup Against Southampton:

Defence:

Tottenham’s defense against Southampton is holding firm despite a few cracks. Radu Dragusin’s ACL tear and Kevin Danso’s hamstring woes keep them out, but Guglielmo Vicario’s steady gloves are set to anchor the goal. Pedro Porro’s marauding runs down the right should test the Saints’ resolve, while Cristian Romero’s steel in the center brings the snarl. Archie Gray slots beside him, young but growing into the role. Destiny Udogie’s got the left locked down. He will have the pace with bite to shut down threats. It’s a backline missing some bodies, but the ones stepping up have the chops to keep Southampton at bay.

Midfield:

With Dejan Kulusevski sidelined by a foot injury, Tottenham’s midfield are set for a shake-up against Southampton. Ange Postecoglou hinted at rotating the squad, especially with a looming clash against Frankfurt. This opens the door for some fresh legs, and it looks like Pape Matar Sarr will step into the spotlight. I reckon Sarr will anchor the center, bringing his energy to the pitch. Yves Bissouma, steady as ever, should hold it down in the defensive midfield role. Then there is James Maddison, who will pull the strings in the attacking midfield spot.

Attack:

Tottenham’s attack is in for a tweak against Southampton, with Ange Postecoglou eyeing rotation ahead of Frankfurt. Son Heung-min might get a breather, which could pave the way for Brennan Johnson to shine on the right wing. He has been itching for a moment like this. Up top, Dominic Solanke should be on the left wing, bringing his physicality to the fray. Mathys Tel could get a nod in the centre-forward position, adding some flair and unpredictability. Richarlison, finally back in training after that calf niggle, might sneak into the mix too.
