Jeglertz hails hat-trick hero Kerolin as Man City thrash Chelsea in WSL | OneFootball

Manchester City boss Andree Jeglertz praised the way hat-trick hero Kerolin has adapted to play in a more central position.

The Brazilian netted a hat-trick as City thrashed last season’s WSL winners Chelsea 5-1, moving 12 points clear of the Blues.

“I’m challenging her to play a little bit more central,” Jeglertz explained after the game.

“She would like to play a bit more wide but I’m challenging her a little bit to be in the centre also because she has that ability to combine with other players.

“The game was plan was also how can she challenge their back line because she has that speed.

“She was in a position where she was always challenging their line and I think she did that today.”

Asked if his side now have one hand on the WSL title, Jeglertz said: “It’s very difficult to say you have one hand (on the title).

“I think today we showed that we definitely have great confidence and are able to win games in different ways.”
