According to Glorioso 1904, former Benfica forward Jéssica Silva said she left the club in 2024 because reduced minutes left her unhappy.

She had fallen down the pecking order under coach Filipa Patão, no longer a first choice. She scored 37 goals for Benfica.

Now at Al Hilal, Silva said she no longer felt comfortable staying and needed a fresh start.

She added that, despite disagreements with her former coach, she has no issue with the club itself.

Reflecting on her time, she highlighted being part of a group that enjoyed an outstanding Champions League run and said those memories endure.
