MIAMI — The 2025 Concacaf Nations League Finals has concluded, with Mexico winning its first trophy. Many players delivered outstanding performances, yet these eleven stood out the most in their respective positions.
Here is a look at the 2025 Concacaf CNL Finals Best XI:
Goalkeeper
Luis Ángel Malagón, Mexico – Tallying four saves in the CNL Finals, including a clean sheet in the semifinal, with his only goal conceded coming from the penalty spot, Malagón was a key player for Mexico’s title-winning campaign, also winning the Best Goalkeeper Award, presented by Rexona.
Defenders
Israel Reyes, Mexico – Reyes played full time in the Finals, contributing five tackles and five interceptions to help Mexico concede zero goals from the run of play.
Moïse Bombito, Canada – Bombito featured all 180 minutes for Canada and contributed one blocked shot, two tackles and five interceptions on the defensive side.
Johan Vásquez, Mexico – Leading Mexico’s defensive line with seven interceptions, Vásquez was another key player in his nation’s first CNL conquest.
Midfielders
Tyler Adams, USA – Adams featured 159 minutes for the United States, manning the midfield with four interceptions.
Edson Álvarez, Mexico – Álvarez provided nine tackles and two interceptions as he captained Mexico to its first CNL trophy.
Aníbal Godoy, Panama – The Panama captain featured in all 180 minutes of the Finals, contributing four tackles and five interceptions.
Adalberto Carrasquilla, Panama – Carrasquilla provided another stellar showing, with three tackles and two interceptions on the defensive end. He provided the match-winning assist in the semifinal and converted from the penalty spot for Panama’s lone goal in the final.
Forwards
Jonathan David, Canada – David led Canada to a bronze medal finish, assisting the opening goal and delivering the match-winning strike in the third-place match.
Cecilio Waterman, Panama – Waterman etched his name in Panama soccer lore with his match-winning goal in stoppage time of the semifinal to send Los Canaleros to the title game for the first time.
Raúl Jiménez, Mexico – Jiménez was the recipient of the Best Player Award, presented by Aramco, for his four goals from consecutive braces in the CNL Finals, placing Mexico early in the lead in both matches by striking in the 1’ and 8’ of the semifinal and final, respectively.
