FC Barcelona managed to beat RCD Espanyol away from home, securing all three points. It was an intense game that required two late goals from Hansi Flick’s side to produce the result they needed.
A brilliant finish from Dani Olmo and a clever goal from Robert Lewandowski were all La Blaugrana needed to claim a 2–0 victory. With this win, Barça remain top of the league table with a solid lead over their arch-rivals, Real Madrid.

Joan Garcia: 10/10
Made save after save to deny RCD Espanyol and delivered a masterclass performance at his former stadium. Despite the hostile reception, the Spanish goalkeeper was crucial in ensuring that Barça took all three points.
Jules Kounde: 7.5/10
Contested his duels well and was largely successful in winning them. Moreover, his passing was sharp, and he consistently overlapped effectively for Lamine Yamal.
Pau Cubarsi: 8.0/10
Absolutely sublime with his passing and always eager to find the right teammate to distribute the ball to. Showed clever awareness and ensured he stayed close to his man.
Gerard Martin: 7.5/10
Took a nasty blow early in the game but recovered well. Although he did not play the full match, he was solid for as long as he remained on the pitch.
Alejandro Balde: 7.5/10
Sharp and quick, the Spanish left-back continuously tried to trouble the Espanyol defence while also keeping his defensive responsibilities in mind.
Eric Garcia: 7.0/10
Strong in his duels and, even when not successful every time, remained determined in his challenges. His distribution was commendable.
Frenkie de Jong: 7.5/10
Almost flawless in his distribution and excellent at staying calm when Barça needed composure, even as the game became increasingly intense.
Lamine Yamal: 7.0/10
Not as effective as he would have liked, but still created some good opportunities and regularly looked to threaten the Espanyol goal.
Raphinha: 6.5/10
The Brazilian forward showed good intensity and eagerness to make an impact, but was unfortunately not very effective during his time on the pitch.
Marcus Rashford: 5.5/10
Tried to influence the game, but almost nothing came off for him on a frustrating night away from home.
Ferran Torres: 6.0/10
Barely involved and effectively isolated by Espanyol’s defensive organisation and tactical setup.
Fermin Lopez: 8.5/10
Provided two late assists at a crucial stage of the match, enabling FC Barcelona to secure all three points.
Dani Olmo: 8.5/10
Scored an impressive goal that finally broke the deadlock late on and effectively sealed the victory for Hansi Flick’s team.
Pedri: 7.0/10
Composed and assured, the young Spaniard was a positive influence after coming on.
