João Pinheiro booed and abused by FC Porto fans

With the controversial refereeing of the Santa Clara-Sporting match in the Azores still fresh in the fans' minds, the refereeing team led by João Pinheiro entered the pitch and began their initial warm-up, receiving loud boos from some Porto supporters who were, it’s worth noting, positioned right behind the tunnel leading to the locker rooms of the Alverca Sports Complex.

The boos returned after the final whistle, when the refereeing team headed back to the locker room. Among the jeers, insults could also be heard coming from the stands where the Porto ultras were located. “Pinheiro, listen, you son of a b…,” could be heard for a moment.
