João Pinheiro’s match report has been made public, setting out new details from the fractious finale to Benfica v Porto at Estádio da Luz.
Record writes that the Braga FA referee noted red cards for José Mourinho and Lucho González, and that Benfica’s Supporter Liaison Officer, Nuno Gago, was also ordered to leave.
The document says Gago clashed with a Porto official, a confrontation that continued into the tunnel, where the officiating team could not verify other behaviour.
It adds that Gago later visited the referees’ dressing room with the League Delegate to apologise for his conduct.
Pinheiro also recorded post-match exchanges with Simão Sabrosa and Mário Branco, noting that each match official received regional products of no significant commercial value and a playing shirt.
The game ended tensely and images later showed Mourinho’s dismissal did not reflect the facts, yet the FPF Disciplinary Board handed the Special One a one-match ban and a fine.
