Johnny Kenny: “Yeah, obviously buzzing. A massive result and obviously it puts us into another cup final which we can look forward too when it comes around.”

The Celtic Star: Just looking ahead to Thursday now, is there a lot of confidence after the last week against Falkirk and theRangers?

Johnny Kenny:  “Yeah, obviously the last two games have been very good but this will be a very difficult test. They are top of the Europa League, so obviously we’ll have to go over there and take the game to them.”

The Celtic Star: How much as Shaun Maloney been an influence on the team, we know the changes that has happened over the last week or so, but him in particular, how has he galvanised the group?

Johnny Kenny: “Yeah, Shaun has been very good. Motivating us, tactically very good. He has obviously had a good coaching career so far and has been a big addition to the coaching staff.”

The Celtic Star: Finally, just a word on the captain as well, he had a lot of praise for yourself, how much has he been a massive part over the last week?

Johnny Kenny:  “Yeah, Callum is inspirational to everyone and he has done it for so many years for this football club. To go in everyday and learn from Callum, it’s a joy and to play alongside him it’s a joy too, but he’s a great captain and a great player to look up to.”

The Celtic Star: Callum, wow, what a couple of days for yourself!

Callum Osmand: “It’s been unbelievable. Obviously, I was not expecting this but I could not have written it a better way. So yeah, I’m really pleased.”

The Celtic Star: You were playing against East fife two weeks ago in the Challenge Cup Trophy, now scoring the winner against theRangers, first senior goal of your career, that must have been a whirlwind few weeks for yourself?

Callum Osmand: “Yeah, it’s been ups and downs. It’s just been crazy – there is not much I can say, it just feels a bit surreal to me and yeah I’m just so grateful for the trust and just where I am.”

The Celtic Star: Looking ahead to Thursday, I know you are ineligible to play in the Europa League but have you spoken to the club about that possibly changing?

Callum Osmand: “Yeah, ultimately that is not up to me but we’ll see what happens with that. Obviosuly Europe would be amazing to play in, that is the dream for myself.”

The Celtic Star: Is there a chance then?

Callum Osmand:“Hopefully, we’ll see what happens!”

So there you have it folks! Callum Osmand is hopeful of being on the plane to Denmark and in the squad for Thursday night’s match, replacing the injured Cameron Carter-Vickers in the squad. Expect clarification from Martin O’Neill when he does his pre-match media conference tomorrow.
