As reported by as.com, Jon Andoni Goikoetxea, the former Barcelona Dream Team winger now scouting for the club, was asked to leave Real Zaragoza’s facilities while watching an Alevín match amid claims Barcelona have raided their academy.

Club staff noticed his presence and invited him to depart, citing accusations of poaching after Barcelona took two promising Infantil players to La Masia.

Born in Pamplona in 1965, he won 36 Spain caps and played as a wide man for Osasuna, Real Sociedad from 1988 to 1990, Barcelona and Athletic from 1994 to 1997, before joining Yokohama Marinos in 1997 and retiring at Osasuna in 1999 in the Segunda.

With Barcelona he lifted four La Liga titles from 1990-91 to 1993-94, the 1991-92 Champions League, the 1992 European Super Cup and two Spanish Super Cups in 1991 and 1992, as part of the famed Dream Team.

Across his Spanish career he made 558 official appearances, including 386 in the top flight, and scored 63 goals, 37 in La Liga. He debuted for Spain in September 1990 in a 3-0 friendly win over Brazil at El Molinón under Luis Suarez, and featured at USA 1994, scoring in the 1-1 draw with Germany.

After hanging up his boots he assisted Cuco Ziganda at Osasuna and Xerez, later served as Osasuna sporting director, and now scouts for Barcelona in Navarra and the north. He is sometimes mistaken for the former centre-back Andoni Goikoetxea.
