Jorginho back? Flamengo post lifts fans before Lanús decider | OneFootball

Flamengo have raised hopes of Jorginho’s return ahead of the Recopa Sudamericana second leg against Lanús on Thursday 26.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the club’s English X account posted the message “Que bom te ver, Jorginho”, alongside a photo of him training, energising supporters.

After the Supercopa do Brasil match with Corinthians on the first of February, the midfielder reported pain in his left thigh. Scans later confirmed a posterior injury, and he has been sidelined since.

He is now in the final stage of recovery. Wednesday 25’s session will decide whether Filipe Luís deems him available for the meeting with Lanús the next day.

Kick-off at the Maracanã is 21:30 Brasília time, with live coverage on ESPN, a subscription channel, and Disney+ streaming.
