Incoming Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho has informed the club of his desire to have Chelsea star Enzo Fernández at his disposal for next season.

This comes amid an ongoing search for midfield reinforcements in Spain’s capital.

Real Madrid are of course fresh off tying up a deal for one Chelsea star, after thrashing out a quickfire agreement for Marc Cucurella last weekend.

And should new boss Mourinho have his way, a 2nd Blues star could soon follow suit…

As per a report from Marca:

‘Real Madrid have set their sights on signing Enzo Fernández. At José Mourinho’s request, the club want to strengthen their midfield with another player of proven quality, and the first choice among the names Mourinho has put forward is the Argentine midfielder from Chelsea.’

It is also noted that the Stamford Bridge brass are open to a potential sale, with Xabi Alonso eager not to have any players in his Chelsea squad not fully committed to the cause.

Enzo’s price-tag, though, remains firmly set at a hefty €120 million.
