Napoli defender Juan Jesus sent an angry message via Instagram after receiving insults from Inter supporters. ‘I respect everyone, learn to accept defeat.’
The Partenopei secured the Serie A title on Friday night by just one point, their 2-0 victory over Cagliari ensuring that Inter could not catch them at the top of the table.
Juan Jesus played for Inter from 2012 to 2016, moving on to Roma, then joining Napoli on a free transfer in the summer of 2021.
He made 15 Serie A appearances this season, contributing one assist, and stood up for his team in response to Sport Mediaset reporter and Inter fan Fabrizio Biasin, who said that more than Napoli winning the title, it was the Nerazzurri who fumbled it.
“Now say all of it without crying, Biasin,” was the Juan Jesus comment on the Sport Mediaset social media post.

This prompted insults from Inter supporters, so Juan Jesus hit back on Instagram Stories.
“To all the Inter fans who are writing to me – and some of them with a frankly unnecessary tone – I want to clarify straight away.
“My comment was aimed at a journalist, that is all. I will not accept a lack of respect shown to our journey and our VICTORIES.
“I have always shown respect to Inter, even after everything that happened last year. I did my duty to the last day at that club and never spat in a plate where I had previously eaten.
“But note this: respect has to be reciprocal. In my comment, there was no attack towards the team, and anyone who says otherwise is in bad faith or wants to create controversy.
“I will not allow anyone to put words in my mouth that I did not say. Be honest and clear-headed when you read.
“I respect everyone, learn to accept defeats too.”

His comment about “everything that happened last year” is the accusation that Inter defender Francesco Acerbi made a racist comment towards him during the game against Napoli in March 2024.
Acerbi insisted he had been misunderstood and no further action was taken.
