Jude Bellingham responds to Arsenal star Declan Rice’s free-kick masterclass vs Real Madrid | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has on Tuesday provided his take on the free-kick clinic conjured up by Arsenal counterpart Declan Rice last week.

The name of midfielder Rice of course took its place front and centre in the headlines across all of world football a week ago.

This came after the former West Ham United standout netted not one, but two set-piece goals en route to a 3-0 Arsenal drubbing of Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Rice, for his part, had not previously scored a single free-kick in his senior career, making his exploits at The Emirates all the more remarkable.

An international teammate of the 26-year-old, the subject of Rice’s brilliance against his side in north London was in turn put to the aforementioned Jude Bellingham during a press conference on Tuesday.

And the Real Madrid standout was not shy in admitting:

“Declan Rice’s free-kicks were surprising! I’ve not seen him do that before [laughs]. So fair play to him!”
