Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has acquired a minority stake in Birmingham Phoenix, who compete in The Hundred, the only professional league to use the 100-ball format.
The 22-year-old said he feels he owes the city, that he was fortunate to play both cricket and football growing up, and that highlighting opportunities for children is important.

He will hold 1.2% and will focus mainly on community engagement and social projects.
Warwickshire will remain the majority shareholder with 50.4%, while Knighthead Capital Management will hold 48.4%.
The next Hundred season is scheduled from 21 July to 16 August.
