The more Carlo Ancelotti moves away from Real Madrid, he grows closer to a big move to the Brazilian national team who have been his admirers for a long time now.
The Selecao have been in his pursuit for close to two years and are seriously pushing to complete his signing given that he is now close to leaving Real Madrid.
Their big goal is for him to lead the team into the 2026 FIFA World Cup and bring them back to their former glory days, something they have been significantly far off from in recent years.
As relayed in a recent update by Hugo Cerezo (h/t Madrid Xtra), the CBF is willing to go all out to sign Ancelotti and offer him a contract that can match the figures he earns at Real Madrid.

Considering that national teams do not usually compete even remotely with clubs in terms of salaries, it is a huge statement of Brazil’s desperation to make the Italian their next coach.
In fact, he would become one of the highest paid national team managers in the world, if not the highest.
What the CBF hopes to gain from his arrival is the presence of an astute tactician who is able to operate under pressure. With former manager Dorival Jr. sacked recently, they are in an urgency to sign a replacement.
Ancelotti sees it as the perfect end to his long and successful managerial career and is also open to coaching Brazil. He will, however, have to join his new job preferably by June which implies that he will have to leave Real Madrid before the FIFA Club World Cup.
Several factors are yet to be sorted out before the deal is finalised. Should Ancelotti face the axe in the coming weeks, developments may arrive hard and fast.
