Justin de Haas capped a standout weekend in Portugal, being named MVP against Estoril. According to Superdeporte, he will play for Valencia next season.
The Famalicao centre-back was his side’s sole scorer in the match and helped them keep a clean sheet.
With three matches remaining, the Dutch defender is enjoying his most prolific campaign, on 6 goals, 1 in the cup and 5 in the league, including this weekend’s strike.
His previous best return was last season, when he scored 2 goals, also for Famalicao.
He is set to reinforce Valencia’s defence, regarded as a key figure to shore up a back line that has suffered from inconsistency and injuries this season.
Standing 1.94 metres tall, the 26-year-old is dominant in the air and can also cover at left-back, offering useful versatility.
