Juventus newcomer Jonathan David has issued a warning to Inter Milan ahead of Saturday’s mouth-watering Serie A showdown.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport viaFCInterNews, David also confirmed he held talks with the Nerazzurri before joining the Turin outfit.
Jonathan David signed a multi-year contract at the Allianz Stadium in the summer after leaving Lille as a free agent.
Despite receiving inquiries from numerous top clubs, including Inter Milan, the 25-year-old opted for Juventus.
Indeed, the Canadian center-forward was on Beppe Marotta’s shortlist for over a year.
Familiar with his contractual wobble in Ligue 1, the Nerazzurri president had hoped to seal another cost-effective deal.
However, Juventus won the race as David penned a five-year contract in Turin, worth around €6 million net per season.
Moreover, the Bianconeri agreed to pay the former Genk ace a substantial signing bonus to convince him to turn down other offers.

Asked how close he was to wearing the Nerazzurri shirt, David replied: “Not that close.
“There were some contacts and talks with my agent, but nothing in-depth. I’m very happy at Juventus.”
Then, he revealed what kind of goal he would want to score on Saturday.
“An acrobatic one or from a yard out – any goal would make me happy as long as it helps the team win,” David claimed.
However, he admits he wouldn’t give up everything just to get on the scoresheet.
“I don’t think like that,” David continued. “My only focus is giving my best and doing my job well for the team.”
Despite missing out on David’s signature in the summer, Inter reinforced their frontline with the arrival of Ange-Yoan Bonny.
Furthermore, the French striker scored on his debut at San Siro, contributing to a superb 5-0 win against Torino.
However, he will likely start on the bench this weekend, with Marcus Thuram andLautaro Martinez expected to lead the line.
