Juventus have sent a scout to watch Friday’s tilt between Genoa and Lecce to take a close look at their loanee Fabio Miretti and especially Morten Frendrup, who is in the crosshairs of a few sides. The Bianconeri will have to decide whether to lean on their youth product for the future, TuttoSport informs (via OneFootball).
They might elect to cash in on him to collect money or use him as a bargaining chip. He has been a regular in Liguria, scoring once and providing 3 assists in 22 Serie A appearances so far.
Juventus could utilize Miretti as part of the package to lure Frendrup. The Rossoblù could be keen on keeping the 21-year-old regardless, perhaps on loan with an obligation to buy. Their previous signings from the Old Lady with the same formula, Radu Dragusin and Koni de Winter, have been very fruitful.
Genoa have been staving off bids for the Danish midfielder for at least a couple of windows, Tuttomercatoweb relays. Atalanta wanted him in January, but the Grifone rejected a €18M proposal, add-ons included. He’s tied to them until 2028. He has been in Italy since 2022, when he joined in €3.9M move from Brondby. He has racked up 118 caps since, totaling 6 goals and 6 assists. He debuted with his national team in September 2024.
Miretti has played a lot, but he hasn’t been particularly good, and his stocks have progressively dipped over the years. The Genoa staple would be a nice and reasonably affordable rotational piece. They’d need one if they cut bait on Douglas Luiz. While not a star, he’d be a respectable Ederson heir for La Dea, as he’s not done growing.
