Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero views Inter Milan as the best team in Serie A despite their current position in the standings.
Speaking to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the former Italy striker praised Inter’s quality and strength in depth.
Inter Milan tore Cremonese apart on Saturday, cruising to a dominant 4-1 victory at San Siro.
Moreover, Ange-Yoan Bonny stole the show, netting once and chipping in with three assists in his first Serie A start for the club.
Furthermore, Lautaro Martinez maintained his scoring spree, finding the net in a third consecutive game.
Relentless in front of goal, Cristian Chivu’s men have tallied 13 goals in their last five outings across all competitions.
More importantly, they emerged victorious on each occasion, including a pair of wins at the beginning of the Champions League season.
Meanwhile, back-to-back losses to Udinese and Juventus in early September now look like a distant memory.
Despite trailing Napoli and Roma by three points, Chivu’s charges remain strong contenders for the Scudetto.

In addition to highlighting Inter’s quality and experience, Del Piero emphasized the value of having top-class backup players.
“Inter is still the best team today, and I’ve been saying this for four years,” Del Piero stated. “I know Beppe Bergomi gets angry, but it’s the truth…
“What midfield does Inter have? What forwards? And what players have they brought in as backups? What defense do they have?
“The team is experienced in every department.
“A change of coach immediately gives you different motivation, even if you’re 30 years old and have won almost everything.
“The system is well-tested, the team is strong, and they have good backups like Manuel Akanji.”
Inter will spend the international break in fourth before heading to the capital to take on Roma on October 18.
