Juventus are in a hurry to add one more defender and are exploring more options on top of their primary ones, for instance, Ronald Araujo and Kevin Danso. The former has played just one match so far due to injury, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
The Bianconeri are looking for somebody on loan at this stage. Barcelona don’t seem inclined to do the deal at those terms at this stage. The center-back missed the first half of the season because of a serious hamstring injury he suffered during the last Copa America. He has 151 appearances with the Blaugrana under his belt, during which he has scored 8 times and provided 6 assists. He joined from Boston River in 2018 when he was 19.
Juventus want to sign two defenders but will spend for just one and therefore only want Araujo, Danso, and Antonio Silva on initial temporary spells. They are willing to spend only for David Hancko. However, Feyenoord don’t want to lose him in January.
The Austrian center-back was one step away from joining Roma last summer. His transfer fell through after the medicals due to a heart issue. It was addressed through a minor procedure that sidelined him for about six weeks. He has collected 12 caps across all competitions afterward.
The Bianconeri are right in going after somebody experienced, as they need help right away, preferably within 10 days. It’d be better if it was somebody already familiar with Serie A, but it’s hard to sign established players on loan to begin with.
