This 2025/26 season is the second year of the new format.

Each team now plays eight matches in the new League Phase, with each of those eight games being played against different opposition. Four of the games are at home and, of course, four are away.

There are no more groups and, instead, each of the 36 teams compete in one big league table during the League Phase.

The top eight at the end of the League Phase advance to the Round of 16, which those placed 9th-24th go into a playoff round to join them. Teams who finish 25th or below are eliminated from European competition for the season.
