Juventus are keeping tabs on Girona left-back Miguel Gutierrez ahead of a potential move in the summer transfer window (h/t Gianluca Di Marzio).
The Bianconeri are in the market for a new left-back following Andrea Cambiasso’s links to AC Milan.
The Rossoneri are keen on signing Cambiasso as a replacement for Theo Hernandez, who is on the verge of joining Al-Hilal.
Gutierrez has been identified as a top target, with Juve’s new general manager Damien Comolli giving his approval.
The 23-year-old has become one of the best left-backs in La Liga, most notably playing a pivotal role in Girona’s historic Champions League qualification last season.
He has shone bright this term, tallying eight-goal contributions in 36 games, despite Girona failing to reach the same heights.
Real Madrid have an active 50 percent sell-on clause for their academy product and a reported €9 million buy-back clause.
However, Los Blancos have earmarked Alvaro Carreras and Alejandro Grimaldo as their priority targets for the left-back position.
Gutierrez has a release clause worth €35m in his Girona contract, but he will be available for around €20m.
Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen and Barcelona are interested in the Spaniard, but none have made concrete offers.
An integral part of Spain’s Olympic Gold medal-winning side in Paris last year, Gutierrez is willing to move to a big club to increase his chances of claiming more silverware.
