Juventus are reviewing striker options amid uncertainty over Dusan Vlahovic’s contract, which runs out on 30 June. Departures are also expected, with Arkadiusz Milik plus recent arrivals Jonathan David and Lois Openda set to leave.
They are assessing alternatives, including a potential return for Randal Kolo Muani, on loan at Tottenham from PSG. Tuttosport reports the shortlist includes Robert Lewandowski, Romelu Lukaku, Joshua Zirkzee, Mateo Retegui and Darwin Nunez, and adds that agent Tommaso Inzaghi, Simone’s son and Federico Pastorello’s right-hand man, visited Continassa yesterday.
Tonight’s Algeria v Uruguay friendly takes place at the Stadium in Turin, where Juventus will monitor Nunez.
Al-Hilal spent €53 million last summer to sign the 1999-born Uruguayan from Liverpool, formerly of Benfica. He has nine goals in 24 appearances for the Saudi club, which has dropped him from the squad to make room for 38-year-old Karim Benzema, who arrived on a free from Al-Ittihad in the last winter window.
Nunez is under contract with Al-Hilal until June 2028 on €23 million a year.
