Juventus team news

Juventus will be without defender Pierre Kalulu, who is suspended for one match following his red card in the match against Inter Milan.

Emil Holm remains sidelined with a calf injury sustained during the defeat to Inter, with the player expected to be out for approximately one month.

Gleison Bremer received positive news following his early exit in the Champions League play-off defeat to Galatasaray, with medical examinations at J Medical revealing no serious injury to his right thigh. While Saturday’s match may come too soon, he could be available for the second leg against Galatasaray next week.

Arkadiusz Milik and Dusan Vlahovic remain out of this match as well. Jonathan David is also doubtful and perhaps will miss this match. Lois Openda may be given a start in the striking position although Weston McKennie might once again be used as a forward.

Como team news

Centre-back Edoardo Goldaniga and winger Assane Diao are both doubtful for this encounter and are most likely to miss the match.

Nico Paz, who has been instrumental for Cesc Fabregas’s team and scored nine goals and six assists so far in this season’s Serie A, is now suspended for this encounter due to the accumulation of yellow cards.

Alvaro Morata is back from suspension and is likely to lead the line in the absence of Paz, although Tasos Douvikas is also an option upfront.

Form

Juventus

Luciano Spalletti’s side has endured a difficult period, suffering back-to-back defeats in their last two outings. Their most recent match saw them lose 5-2 to Galatasaray in the Champions League play-off round first leg in Istanbul, despite taking a 2-1 lead at halftime. In Serie A, they are currently sitting in fifth position in the table with 46 points from 25 matches.

Como

Most recently, Como secured a 1-1 draw against AC Milan on February 18, with Nico Paz opening the scoring with a stunning left-footed strike from outside the box in the 32nd minute. With this draw, they are now winless in their last three league outings and last four matches in all competitions. They are sitting in sixth position in the table with 42 points in 25 matches.

Predicted lineups

Juventus: Di Gregorio; Gatti, Kelly, Koopmeiners; Cambiaso, Locatelli, Thuram, McKennie; Conceicao, Yildiz; Openda

Como: Butez; Smolcic, Ramon, Kempf, Valle; Perrone, Da Cunha; Vojvoda, Baturina, Rodriguez; Douvikas
